PRIVATE CLIENT SOLICITOR/LEGAL EXECUTIVE

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive to join our well-established law firm.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in private client work, including wills, trusts, probate, and estate planning. This role requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.  The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the growth and marketing of the firms Private Client services.

Duties

  • Manage a varied caseload and advise clients on a range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Draft legal documents such as wills, powers of attorney, and trust deeds.
  • Manage the administration of estates and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and advice.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation that may affect private client matters.
  • Collaborate with other professionals such as financial advisers and accountants to provide comprehensive advice to clients.

Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of private client services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documentation and compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

 Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 12 months PQE.

PARALEGAL-PRIVATE CLIENT DEPARTMENT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and highly organised Paralegal to join our Private Client team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have a keen interest within this area of law.

The successful candidate will work closely and assist the fee earners across a broad range of Private Client services, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of meetings by gathering relevant information.
  • Prepare and follow up letters of engagement following client instruction.
  • Take inbound and make outbound calls to clients and third parties.
  • Draft legal documents ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Excellent file management.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the team.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, and other parties involved in the matter.
  • Conduct legal research using various databases to support case preparation.
  • Attend client meetings as required to provide support to the legal team.
  • Additional duties where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong time management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • A keen eye for detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A relevant qualification in law or paralegal studies is advantageous but not essential.

PARALEGAL - CONVEYANCING
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and highly organised Paralegal to join our Conveyancing department. The successful candidate will assist the fee earners with the management of conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and follow up letters of engagement following client instruction.
  • Complete compliance on all residential conveyancing matters.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, lenders, and estate agents to ensure files are accurate and all parties are updated on the transaction.
  • Prepare contracts.
  • Conduct searches.
  • Prepare completion statements.
  • Set up completions.
  • Send completion letters/calls.
  • Process Stamp Duty submissions.
  • Handle notices of assignment/transfers.
  • Process all post-completion work such as AP1s, requisitions, and completion of registrations.
  • Draft legal documents ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Maintain excellent file management.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the team.
  • Attend client meetings as required to support the legal team.
  • Perform additional duties as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Have an interest in property.
  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A keen eye for detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
